Performance, Competitive & Social Coaching and Manager Opportunities

Wapping Hockey Club are looking for inspiring coaches and experienced players, interested in coaching, to help take our club to the next level.

Wapping’s performance committee is currently reviewing our plans for the next few years. We have a great team of coaches that we are looking to build on and strengthen. The future of this will be built around the people who will make up our coaching team. So, if you’re interested, please reach out for a chat so we can discuss goals and learn if/how we might work together.

Roles range from Assistant to Senior positions. Whether your expertise lies in performance, competitive, or social hockey, we welcome individuals of all experience levels who embody a keen hockey intellect and unwavering passion for the game.

    • Competitive coaches (4s-6s)

    • Social coaches (7s onward)

  • Enabling & Support roles (Men’s & Women’s)

We are open to all ideas on how these roles could look and how to best compensate. For those interested, we will start with a discussion to talk around aims and objectives to figure out the right role for the individual and their experience.

About Wapping Hockey Club:

It is often said at WHC, our potential as a club is huge. With our new Head Coach, Matt Bowen, in place and our 1XIs reaching National League we feel now is an excellent time to focus on delivering this potential. We want to be the preeminent home for hockey in London.

Performance Objectives:

In this role, you will be instrumental in realizing our performance objectives. Wapping aspires to ascend to new heights, fostering a culture of continual improvement, strategic play, and the holistic development of individual players.
